Lynne recognized the importance of WBAI. She served on the board and fought to keep WBAI a voice of the people. Now it’s our turn to help WBAI Rising. Our station is millions of dollars in debt. Some board members want to sell WBAI. Or, “swap signals.” (We’d make a few million but LOSE our 50,000 watt, Tri-State reach!) And taking out loans only compounds the problem.
But there IS a SOLUTION… WBAI + MNN = A NO-BRAINER! Do the math. A partnership between WBAI + Manhattan Neighborhood Network
= WBAI on radio and TV and the internet!
= NO transmitter bills! ($60,000/mo.)
= NO rent! State of the art studios!
